MindFence runs on your phone. Used on your own, it sends nothing anywhere. Pair with someone and two things cross: the name you chose to show them, and the names of places you are currently inside.
This page covers the MindFence iOS app. The byRazLabs website policy covers the website, separately.
Which apps you block. You choose them in Apple's own picker. iOS hands the app opaque tokens rather than names, so MindFence cannot tell which apps you selected — not on your device, and not anywhere else. Nothing derived from them is transmitted.
How you use your apps. MindFence does not collect screen time, pickups, launches, or usage of any kind.
Where your places are. Saving a place stores its coordinates on your device. iOS evaluates the boundary on the device and tells the app when you cross it. Coordinates are never transmitted — not to us, not to the person you paired with, not to anyone.
Pairing is optional and off until you set it up. If you do pair, your phone publishes:
That is the whole payload. Not coordinates, not addresses, not app tokens, not usage. The other phone learns the word "home" and nothing about where home is.
This is stored using Apple's CloudKit, in the app's iCloud container. byRazLabs runs no servers and keeps no database of its own.
An invitation is a random token in a link. It can be exchanged once, and it expires fifteen minutes after it is created. A link that is forwarded, screenshotted, or read over your shoulder is worth nothing shortly afterwards.
Unpairing deletes your presence record. Deleting the app removes everything held on the device, including your places and your rules.

No analytics. No advertising. No tracking, and nothing shared with data brokers. No third-party SDKs of any kind — the app talks to Apple's frameworks and to iCloud, and to nothing else. Your data is not used to train anything.
MindFence does not ask for your contacts, your photos, your calendar, your microphone, or your camera.
MindFence is for adults managing their own devices. It is not a parental control product and is not intended for children.
